Dr. Mihnea Traian Nichita-Brendea, MD is a senior cardiology attending and interventional cardiologist at the Clinical Emergency County Hospital of Oradea, Romania. He obtained his Doctorate in Medicine in 2021 and is board-certified in Interventional Cardiology, with a clinical focus on complex coronary interventions, including chronic total occlusions (CTO), bifurcation lesions, and complete coronary revascularization strategies in acute coronary syndromes.
Dr. Nichita-Brendea has completed extensive advanced training at major European interventional cardiology courses and meetings, including EuroPCR, TOBI, Swiss CTO, and EuroCTO Club, and currently serves as Course Director of the Romanian & Hungarian Chronic Total Occlusions (RoCTO) Workshop. He is an active member of the Romanian Society of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions, and a Candidate Member of the EuroCTO Club.
His research work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals and focuses on multivessel coronary artery disease and revascularization strategies in ST-elevation myocardial infarction. Dr. Nichita-Brendea is a frequent presenter of complex cases and abstracts at national and international cardiology congresses and was the recipient of the Best Case Award at TOBI 2023 in Milan, Italy.
